Its that time of the year again, when we give awards and heap praise on some of the Worlds finest footballers15/11/2006 for their performances over the last twelve months.
The FIFA World Player of the Year is a football award given annually to the male and female players who are thought to be the best in the world, based on votes by coaches and captains of international teams. Last years top three was Ronaldinho, Lampard and Etoo.
Will Ronaldinho be the first ever footballer to win the award for the third time in a row or will someone else be crowned the Worlds Number One?
The FIFA World Player of the Year is always a hotly contested event. The World Cup normally dictates who walks away with this coveted title and as such it looks unlikely that Ronaldinho will make history and walk away with a third title.
Cannavaro was unlucky not to walk away with the Golden Ball at the World Cup but he may be luckier this time around and 15/8 looks good value
